What Makes Reflexology Work
What Makes Reflexology Work? Reflexology is a hand-on treatment that is meant to bring the body to a state of harmony and well-being.
In reflexology, it is believed that there are reflex zones on the hands, feet and even the ears that correlate to specific body functions and organs. Furthermore, it is believed that energy is constantly circulating between organs and every living cell.
When energy is blocked, problems arise in the area of blockage and crystals develop in the reflex zone, which is the source of pain in the area when a reflexologist applies pressure. Through proper massaging techniques, the energy blockages are destroyed and vitality is renewed. I can attest to this being true.
I have used reflexology for getting rid of my tension headaches for years. When pressure is applied to the reflex zone it is very painful. However, after a few minutes the pain is gone both in my hand and in my head.
It works almost every time. Reflexology also puts our bodies through a natural process of detoxification. If you are not aware of how important detoxification is, please listen up. Toxins are everywhere. The food we eat, the products we clean ourselves with, the air we breathe and the stress we fell all contribute to the build up of toxins in our bodies.
These toxins are removed through four major organs of the body, which are the colon, kidneys, lungs and skin. And with our bodies taking in so many toxins these days, whatever the body is unable to eliminate gets stored in the weakest organ.
Without effectively eliminating those toxins from our organs, they will eventually cause havoc and we will be led down the path of sickness and disease.
In a society that relies heavily on chemically laden prescription drugs, psychotherapy and surgical procedures to heal the sick, it is more than time to put matters into your own hands.

Stress is in fact, a silent killer.
