Myths About
Hypnosis
Myths About Hypnosis. Too often, people are inclined to lump
hypnosis in with witches, warlocks, and other magical things.
Even science is slightly skeptical.
However, many of the myths and prejudices against hypnosis
are quite false. Here are some of the common beliefs and the
truth. Hypnosis is not an unnatural phenomenon.
It occurs spontaneously during our every day life. You have
been in hypnosis if: you have felt the calming effect of
prayer, you have been lured by flashy advertisements to buy a
product you do not need, you have gotten absorbed in a good
book, you have had a good daydream, or if you have taken a car
ride only to arrive at a destination not knowing how you got
there.
Hypnosis is not dangerous. As long as it is done by someone
who knows what they are doing, it is perfectly safe. You cannot
be forced into doing something that you do not agree with.
However, do be cautious to only use an experienced
hypnotherapist if used unethically and unprofessionally there
can be some risk of damage from negative suggestions being
implanted.
When under hypnosis, a person does not lose consciousness.
They remain aware of the surroundings at all times, provided
that they do not fall asleep during the procedure. Hypnosis
will not make your mind weaker.
In reality, it will boost self confidence and self esteem
with the positive suggestions your mind receives.
Hypnosis is not addictive. It is not a drug and you do not
become reliant on the process. The subject is not going to
reveal all of his inner secrets while under hypnosis.
You retain control, and you will not reveal anything that
you do not want to. You also do not surrender your power when
under hypnosis. The power of hypnosis lies in you and not the
hypnotist.
You are the one that allows your body to relax and receive
suggestions.

The Major Benefit Of Hypnosis
Whole Grains and How They Help
A major benefit of hypnosis apposed to any other form of achieving relaxation is the ability to receive suggestions. As an example, if you were to self hypnotize then your whole your mind is listening to you and open to suggestions. You could then use affirmations to achieve better results that support your goals.
Since hypnosis helps a person relax enough to bypass the conscious mind and reach the subconscious level, when properly learned and when properly applied mental obstacles on the road to meditation can be eliminated or reduced. The deep state of relaxation and cleared mind can ease a person into meditation more easily.

You will come out of a deep trance. Even if the person
hypnotizing you does not tell you to, you will come out of a
trance on your own. Some people may choose to sleep out of a
trance to feel refreshed and energetic when they awake. It is
not possible to force someone to commit crimes using hypnotic
suggestions. Unless the person wants to, they cannot be forced
to act in any way that is against their moral, cultural, and/or
social beliefs.
You do not have to be weak-minded in order to be
hypnotized. People with high IQs often can go into a trance
easily because they have sharp concentrating abilities. If
you are mentally handicapped or literally a moron, you can
not be hypnotized. Children older than four are easy to
hypnotize, not because they are weak, but because they have
fresh receptiveness and an ability to focus on inner
thoughts easier than an adult can.

Weight loss hypnosis will achieve
absolutely nothing for you if you don't use
it to help you cope with the changes you
have to make in your eating and exercise
habits.
The problem is that if you view it as a
short term way to "just lose a few pounds"
you will simply end up going back to your
old habits when you have reached your
goal.

In summary, hypnosis is totally natural and safe, and can
even be pleasurable to the patient. You will retain
awareness of your surroundings and control over your mind
and body. The benefits are immense, and can be used in a
variety of ways.
